People who used My Support Space said:
I was genuinely surprised and uplifted by how helpful and straightforward the advice was.
I walked and talked through the guide with the person I support. We both found it incredibly helpful and informative. We’ve looked at some key self-help options that each of us can adopt.
What a fantastic resource. I found it incredibly helpful… I feel much more empowered and a bit less overwhelmed.
FAQ
My Support Space is an online resource from the independent charity Victim Support to help you manage the impact crime has had on you.
You can work through a series of interactive guides that address your specific needs. The guides feature videos, techniques, activities and tips to help you explore each topic. Find out more about the topics we cover in our leaflet [PDF].
You can complete the guides in your own time and at your own pace. Your progress is saved automatically and you can revisit where you left off at any time.
You can also create an online diary to help keep track of your progress and record what works for you.
There’s information about where and how you can access further support, and the opportunity to register with SilverCloud, an online therapy system.
My Support Space is also available for those supporting someone after they’ve experienced crime or trauma. For example friends, family members, colleagues or neighbours.
My Support Space is for people aged 16 and over who have experienced crime and need help to cope and move forward.
The content is designed to help you reflect on your feelings after crime and understand how you can support yourself during a difficult time.
It’s designed for people experiencing a low to moderate impact after crime. If you’re experiencing a much more severe impact, or if you’re at risk, this online resource should only be used when you’re already in touch with a Victim Support caseworker.

When registering for an account, you can select you’re a supporter rather than a victim or witness of crime. You’ll then have access to guides that have been designed to help you support someone.
