Barking & Dagenham Sexual Violence Service – Refuge

The service is able to offer access to a refuge (confidential emergency temporary accommodation); specialist independent gender-based violence advocacy (IGVA) to support clients at risk of serious harm; group peer support to support recovery; one-to-one confidential, non-judgmental, independent support; support in contacting the police; a sanctuary scheme to improve home safety; support if you are considering going to court; access to legal advice; support in managing your financial situation; information on support networks in your community; specialist interventions for children and young people; work with perpetrators; and community training and awareness.
