Forced Marriage Unit

The Forced Marriage Unit is a joint Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and Home Office Unit which leads on the government’s forced marriage policy, outreach and casework. The FMU’s dedicated team of caseworkers understand the issues surrounding forced marriage, including family pressures and how difficult it can be for victims to talk about these situations. They operate a public helpline to provide advice and confidential support to victims and potential victims of forced marriage.
