How do I join a live webinar?

You’ll need to register to join a live webinar. Select the ‘register now’ button under the webinar you’d like to join and fill in the form. We won’t share your details with anyone else.

You’ll then get a confirmation email with details of how to join on the day. There’s also an email address if you have any questions.

What if I can’t make a webinar I’ve signed up to?

Don’t worry, you can cancel your registration at any time by clicking on the link on the registration email we sent you.

I don’t want to be on camera or for anyone else to see me on the webinar

That’s ok. All cameras and microphones will be automatically off when you join. Participants aren’t able to see each other, or communicate with each other using the chat box function: this will help us to keep your information confidential.

I want to ask a question during the webinar

You can post a question to us using the Q&A icon in the chat. Your presenter will point this out at the start of the webinar.  We’ll look at the questions at the end of the webinar and if there are any private questions posted, we won’t share them with other participants at the webinar. If your question isn’t answered, or if you have another question after the webinar, please email us at: lvws.webinars@victimsupport.org.uk

What if I lose my internet connection during the webinar?

Just re-join when you’re able to. If you end up missing the webinar, email us lvws.webinars@victimsupport.org.uk and we can let you know other times the webinar may be run again.

I don’t speak English well enough to join

If you’d like to read along with the webinar, you can switch on captions in Zoom. You have the option to switch them on in English or in a translated language available in Zoom. Please note that these are automated captions and may have some errors. We’ll tell participants how to turn on the captions in another language at the start of the webinar.

You can also request a personal translator ahead of the webinar. To do this, please email us at lvws.webinars@victimsupport.org.uk, stating the name and date of the webinar and the language you need the translator to speak.
